Just this early evening (June 22), I was riding a Fairview-bound aircon bus from SM Megamall.

I would be alighting at Kamias, so when we hit Farmer's Cubao, the conductor advised me to move forward to the front next to the driver.

I noticed that as the bus entered the 'Cubao Ibabaw' bay, Manong Driver asked Manong Conductor for P20 -- which the conductor gave automatically.

There were two uniformed MMDA officers along tthe bay waving the bus along. I had the sense that the driver would give the P20 to them, but no - that would be too obvious.

A man in civilian then approached the driver side window to get the P20, and promptly disappeared.

From the eye contact given by the uniformed MMDA officers to the bus driver as we passed, I know something is going on.

Also, P20 is too small to be a one-time fee, so this could possibly be a regular 'entrance fee' by this bus and other buses as they pass the 'Cubao Ibabaw' bay.

You may want to investigate. This is the bay that is exactly in front of Farmer's Market area in Cubao.
